Go Vonage (May 12, 2009)

Many land line telephone subscribers (such as Bell or Rogers) would be hard pressed to switch to a VoIP service; suggesting that the service would be less reliable then these well established, "trust-worthy" companies'. In actuality, the up-time of a Vonage connection is virtually that of any standard land-line telephone. If you're running high speed Internet (ironically, likely through Bell or Rogers if you are in Southern Ontario), the connection stability is on par with your basic telephone line.

So, I guess the question is why wouldn't you want to pay significantly less for your telephone services? It really is very impressive what Vonage can offer for $19.95 a month.

I have been using Vonage for a few years now and not only have I not had any serious issues, I have thoroughly enjoyed all the features made available to me. Such features as (but not limited to) having my voice mail emailed to me, easily redirect calls to my cell phone, and monitor voice mail and other settings online. Ultimately, however, it has to be the $19.95 a month for numerous features and 500 minutes of local and long distance calling to anywhere in Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico. I've never gone over that limit, however if you think you would you can upgrade to $39.95 for unlimited calls anywhere in Canada, the U.S., Puerto Rico and select European countries! That is pretty impressive if you ask me! Try and beat that Bell!

If you're like me and want/need to cut costs with necessary services such as your telephone; take a serious look at Vonage. If you are interested, let me know and I'll refer you - giving you a free month of service!
